Late to this video, but thanks for posting. Started listening to Tull and TAAB when I was 12 (older brother played it upstairs and I would sit on the steps listening.). First concert was 1976 or 77 at McGall Hall in Evanston, IL, and spoiled it for me as few concerts could match the energy and eclectic nature of Ian and his showmanship. Sorry when his voice went, as this was one of the unique artistic instruments of the band. Such expression and texture.

There's no way I could interview Dianne. I would be looking at those legs the entire time.

Discouraged Ones’dan hiç şarkı çalmamışlar demiş arkadaşlar da, ondan önce Brave Murder Day es geçildi. Ki bence BMD bence metal tarihinin en sağlam 5 albümünden biridir. Son 10-12 senedeki albümlerden çalmayı tercih ettiler, saygı duymak lazım. Ama tabi Tonight’s Decision, Discouraged Ones ve Brave Murder Day’e For My Demons, Deadhouse ve 12 üçlüsü ile selam çakıp 11 şarkıyı son 15 seneden oluştursalardı iyi olabilirdi

Bu harika albüm tanıtımı için öncelikle teşekkürler. Şöyle düşündüm de, Sepultura'nın Roots, Arise ve Beneath the Remains albümlerinin playlistleri halen zihnimde baştan sonra duruyor. Vocal değişikliğinden sonra ise o kadar albümleri var aklıma sadece 1 tane şarkı yer edebilmiş, o da Mindwar. Bu albüm ise biraz farklı olmuş, Autem, Isolation ve Ali şarkıları epey hoşuma gitti. Diğer bazı güzel şarkılar var ama Sepulturaya tam yakıştıramadım nedense.

Bi yarım saat daha sürüp de Disposession, Chrome ve Oh I how enjoy the light'ı da söyleseydi süpper olurdu. Discouraged One'dan hiç söylemedi. Neyse ama Jonas kadife sesiyle bi Saw you drown yapmalıydı. Süper konserdi yine severim Katatonia'yı.

Son albümü Guilty Pleasures çok hoş röportaj da. Teşekkürler tanıtım için.

Katatonia en sevdiğim gruplardan biri. Ama Ankara konseri sanırım çok beklenti içine girdiğim için beklediğim gibi olmadı malesef. Bunun başında Katatotia yı Katatonia yapan Discouraged Ones ve Tonight's Decision gibi iki albümden hiç şarkı çalınmaması oldu. Sebebini tam hatırlamamakla birlikte sanırım 2004 yılındaki Rock the nationsda da benzer bir hayal kırıklığı yaşamıştım :)

Excellent choice. In a Thrice fans group, we were naming first songs to use to introduce a new listener to Thrice. To try to get elements of their sound and style into one song, my shortlist was Hold Fast Hope, Yellowbelly, and Beggars. My approach, if those couple songs show that Thrice is worth listening to (of course they are, they and Coheed and Cambria might be the best bands that exist), is to go by album. I'd listen to The Artist in the Ambulance, then Vhiessu, then Alchemy Index, then Beggars, then Major/Minor. Those are consecutive albums from the middle of their progression as a band which will bring you to understanding that the next album will sound unpredictable in a way that you'll come to expect while still sounding distinctly like Thrice. Equally, the bookends could be Illusion of Safety and Beggars, to keep it to a 5-album run. But I'd start with Artist in the Ambulance and you'll already be catching on by the time you're a couple songs into Beggars.

The song Beggars is a paraphrase of the Bible's book of Job. The lead singer, Dustin Kensrue, is a Christian and likes to write his beliefs into the band's lyrics. In my opinion, this album is one of the finest rock albums produced.

You can clearly see the interviewer is a crazy fan of Dave's work. Which is fantastic to see.

Pale Communion is one of their best albums, but the very best is still Ghost Reveries.

Beggars as a whole is just one of the most amazing collection of songs I've ever had the blessing of hearing and or listening. It's amazing especially in the context of their career! After finishing a 4 part EP with all this complicated and progressive approach they aimed to deliver a more stripped down sound for Beggars. The product which is beggars has so much body and push to it for such a stripped down record and it really shows what they can do. I grew up with Thrice in the household but I didn't fully appreciate Thrice until I saw them days after To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere Live in San Diego 2016. I walked away with a bigger love for their music than when I walked in. Since then they have rapidly become one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite band.
